In 2018 we developed a new project to remodel 20 classrooms, for a budgeted project cost of $200,000. With the proceeds from the 2018-2019 Annual Fund and the 2018 Auction "Fund a Need Appeal", we have been able to complete 10 of the 20 classrooms.

We still need to finish the remaining 10. The remodeling includes new paint on the walls, new mill work, new carpeting, new student desks, new instructor stations, and a new, state-of-the-art, interactive 75 inch digital smart display.

The vision of this renovation is to provide an instructional space with a college preparatory decorum; a space to inspire a student both spiritually and intellectually.

Kennedy Catholic has been able to secure a Matching Gift Grant, so your donation to the 2019 Auction "Fund a Need Appeal" will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $40,000!

Kennedy Catholic developed a new project to remodel 20 classrooms, for a budgeted project cost of $200,000. This project was kicked off in September of 2018. With the proceeds from the 2018-2019 Annual Fund and the 2018 Auction "Fund a Need Appeal", we have been able to complete 10 of the 20 classrooms. We still need to finish the remaining 10. The remodeling includes new paint on the walls, new mill work, new carpeting, new student desks, new instructor stations, and a new, state-of-the-art, interactive 75 inch digital smart display.

The smartboard projection technology has seen the end of its use. These new digital displays allow for improved delivery of instruction to the students. Teachers are no longer tied to a desk. They can now connect their iPads and share their screen and teaching material directly to the digital display. These new displays give teachers the freedom to walk among their students and give them a more personal learning experience.

This remodel is more than just technological. The vision of this renovation is to provide an instructional space with a college preparatory decorum; a space to inspire a student both spiritually and intellectually. The remodel will include the addition of artwork in the room as well, images that will help deliver inspiration.

Although Kennedy Catholic has a large mountain to climb, it is optimistic it can meet this goal if tonight's auction is a success. We've been able to secure a Matching Gift Grant, so your donation to the 2019 Auction "Fund a Need Appeal" will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $40,000!
